Valorant – Riot Games new 5v5 tactical FPS is taking the twitch community by storm. The beta went live on April 7th and since then, viewership has averaged around 1.2 million people on Twitch.
How do i get a key?
The only way currently to earn a key is through Twitch beta drops(more ways are promised); a drop is earned through watching partnered twitch streamers. Follow the steps below to create an account to earn yourself a drop.
Step 1: Create a Twitch account
Head to Twitch.tv and create an account.
Step 2: Create a Riot Account
Riot recently made the switch over to Riot accounts, so head to Riot Games and create an account (this step is not needed if you already have a League of Legends Account).
Step 3: Link Your Twitch and Riot Account
Go to your Twitch settings and link the accounts together.
Step 4: Watch Valorant Streamers
There are many popular streamers streaming Valorant, as a part of the beta program. Some streamers may try to mislead you by placing drop enabled in their stream title so verify the streamer has “Drops Enabled” below their stream title.
Once you have selected a streamer, they will always have “drops enabled! Watch for a chance to earn loot” below their stream.
Step 5: Cross Your Fingers!
You may have to watch you streamer upwards of 8+ hours to have a chance to get a drop, but once you do, you will be notified via twitch notifications and email that you have received a closed beta invite.
